Matters arising from November minutes
Mike Tomlin Run, ongoing, arrival, route , finish etc, DC asked if we should change the date. Decided to stick with 19th July. Check with the Gallow to make sure it doesn’t clash with any other events. Need to get glass trophy back. JB to liaise with Jamie. Route suggestion to be sorted by TC and will be tested.Meet at 9.30am for a 10.30 start.
CCCCR, to be run in 2026, David & sally Leach could potentially organise the run for 2026 but not yet confirmed.
Charity cheque presentation and charity for 2026, Wednesday evening 28th January , 7.30pm , The Gallow, Phillip Mason will come and receive the cheque for NARS.
DC in touch with Rose Jackson- Nichols, “Giant HSBC cheque, TC has arranged. D & F Times to be contacted via website (JB).

Events past,
Bingham Parlour, 22nd Nov, good but not great, not prepared for it ,some meals cold. 32 attended.
Christmas tree festival, JB , only moderately successful. Maybe not next year.
Christmas dinner, looking at charging a non refundable charge after 10 days or less especially for Xmas dinner. The dinner was well received , service and food was excellent. It has been suggested we use the Railway Arms for 2026.
Updates on future events listed for 2025/6 and a review of DC e mail dated 17th October 2025 including specific updates on the following Charity cheque presentation and incoming charity for2026, see item above.
Breakfast at Whitwell, Sat 31st January, 25 booked so far.
Winter walk,Sat 14th February., Change of venue starting from JB , walk and then drive to the Old Dairy at Stanfield. Arrive at JB for 9.30am , leaving at 10.00am, parking in farm yard and JB driveway.
Holt garden Centre breakfast, sat 21st February , 18 booked so far.
AGM Wednesday 25th February, AS will be resigning from the committee for 2026, our thanks to AS for all his work carried out over the years. Need a report from the chairman and the bank account statement which is signed off by a non committee member. Looking for new committee members for the future.
Feedback , members comments, further thoughts re 2026 club tour, need to get the newsletter out soon.
Events calendar and newsletter for Jan 2026 via website, DC to finalise the calendar. Finalised to end March.DC to send out an events calendar for 2026 before the next newsletter goes out.

Membership update, membership subscription for 2026, 28 members paid so far. Subscriptions at moment still £10 for the year. JB has suggested the subs are increased for 2027/8 . TC to prepare a budget for 2026/7 to decide on subs for 2027.

JB, Police contacted town Council as cars going wrong way down one way street for Xmas tree lights being switched on , so for future events to be held we will potentially have to go through Safety Advisory Group, events organiser. There is a Purple Guide , a list of 45 different criteria by which guidelines are to be considered for each category.
