Minutes of Committee Meeting 20th November 2025 _ final
In attendance: Jim Biggie (Chair), David Coles, Tim Colman, Vanessa Stocking, Mike Colman, Brian Monks.

- Minutes of last Meeting: 16th October Minutes agreed as a fair reflection & signed off by
- Matters arising:
- Confirmed The Gallow has been booked for the Mike Tomlin Event on 19th July
- Brian advised he had received no update regarding a potential successor organiser for the Charles Clark All agreed this will not become a FaC Organised Event. No more action.
- Charity Issues:
- David advised he had been in contact with the new NARS fund raiser, Rose Jackson-Nichols, who had required the cheque handover to occur at the NARS premises. This requirement had been declined as we require full exposure & attendance opportunity for FaC Members. NARS have agreed to try and attend The Gallow on 28th January for receiving our cheque subject to their staff availability. Action: David will monitor/pursue.
- Tim as incoming Treasurer will arrange for the ‘Giant Cheque’ to be available on 28th January.
- First Focus: Jim reported his contact with our incoming Charity. Jim now has collection buckets etc and is liaising with First Focus regarding their introductory attendance on 28th
- Events Past:
- October Market Place Display & Meet attracted 17 cars for this final gathering of
- Q’s Quiz night 13th November was fully An excellent & enjoyable evening which raised £252 for Charity (£160 entry fees plus £92 raffle).
- Future Events:
- Binham Parlour 22nd November – Tim confirmed all in
- Xmas tree festival at Brisley – Jim confirmed all in hand and First Focus collection buckets are to Grand opening on Friday 5th December with refreshments available, followed by opening from 10.00am until 4.00pm that weekend.
- Xmas Evening 13th December – Railway is fully Brian / Heather will hand raffle prizes etc to Jim in advance whilst at Binham Parlour on 22nd November.
- 2026 Events previewed with much Principle points:
- 31st January breakfast at Whitwell David has this in hand and will arrange for Tim to receive an e-copy of the Menu for uplift to our Website for booking etc. Action David / Tim.
- 14th February Winter Walk & Jim organising walk around Brisley followed by optional brunch at the Old Dairy.
- 21st February Breakfast at Holt Garden Brian to e-copy Menu etc to Tim for uplift to our Website for booking etc. Action Brian / Tim.
- 15th Agreed to investigate visit to Letheringsett Water Mill followed by Glandford Bistro for lunch. Action by ??
- 28th First Market Place display & meet of 2026. Brian to monitor and update for receipt of the (already paid for) parking permit from Norfolk County Council. Action Brian.
- 13th April to 17th April: 2026 Breakaway….. consideration of either, or both of, Dutch bulb fields and Northumberland. Schedule for booking is tight, so agreed a decision must be made at next Meeting. More info required from Rob (re Dutch bulb fields) and Jim/Ian (re Northumberland).
- 17th Visit to County School Railway Station. Lunch / snack venue needs to be arranged. Jim checking at ‘The Tea Post’. Action Jim.
- 24th Sandringham Pageant etc. Decision made to delete from our Calendar as too problematic arranging, too expensive and too big. 28th Vanessa arranging. Has ideas to finalise. Action Vanessa.
- Finance Report:
NARS collection buckets/tins unsealed & opened at this Meeting witnessed by all present. Contents total is £120.42 which David will e-transfer to the FaC bank account. Action
Our auction of 2 x Thursford tickets raised £80 total which David will e-transfer to the FaC bank account. Action David.
Lyn’s spreadsheet + e-mail of 20th November noted with Noted there are approx £300.00 of reimbursements due to Committee Members which Tim will check & deal with when the duty handover has been finalised.
Handover of Treasurer duty from Lyn to Tim noted as proceeding following great effort, difficulty and frustration for both with the necessary Bank regulatory NOTE: since this Meeting close it is confirmed that HSBC have now transferred access from Lyn to Tim.
- Membership update: Jim reported 11th November advice from Tony that we have 97
- Any other Business:
- Jim sorting out the donated watch & dead battery
- Anglia Car Auctions – Jim reported that his attempts to e-contact ACA of King’s Lynn for a group visit have not been replied to. Mike will visit them to discuss.
- Vanessa proposed introducing name badges for Members to wear in order to avoid embarrassment. Mike After much discussion it was majority agreed not to pursue this due to concern that Members may not wear them, also cost.
- Agreed that Committee Members photos should be shown on the Website for openness and ease of recognition by Members, and to facilitate a route to approach the Committee on any issues. This to be done after the AGM at which time the 2026 Committee will be known. Action All.
